I started Elliot Home Modifications to provide peace of mind that you and your loved ones can be safe and functional in your own home. EHM was founded on the values of occupational therapy. Occupational therapists are medical professionals that help people with disabilities complete their daily activities. We leverage this medical expertise to evaluate both the person and their environment and create a comprehensive plan to modify the home to make it work for you! Using a medical professional in the home modifications process is paramount to ensure that your home is safe.
When you choose Elliot Home Modifications, an occupational therapist will always be the first person you speak to. On our initial visit we will assess you or your loved ones abilities, discuss your goals for living in place, evaluate the home for accessibility or safety barriers and create a comprehensive home safety plan. During the remodeling or modification process, we are with you the whole way. We advise our contractors throughout the process so they understand your safety and your goals for living in place. After your modification is complete, our work doesn’t end there. We will provide in person training sessions and educate you on how to navigate your new modifications exactly as intended.
Living in place can be challenging with a disability or after a recent fall and many people want to stay in their homes as they age. However, very few homes are set up to accommodate disabilities and often have multiple hazards that can lead to a fall. Elliot Home Modifications understands this challenge and provides comprehensive home safety solutions that keep YOU in mind. We will advise you on the safest and most efficient solution. Whether you need to remodel your bathroom, build a wheelchair ramp, install a stairlift, or make your home wheelchair accessible, Elliot Home Modifications can get the job done on your behalf. We work with trusted vendors and contractors that align with our mission of keeping you and your loved ones safe, happy and healthy at home and in the community.
